I love the holiday season, for me it is about confidence, glow, and impact. Whether you’re heading to a Christmas party, festive dinner, or New Year’s Eve celebration, your makeup should feel polished, wearable, and elevated not overworked but also fun! It’s the time of year to experiment.

This is my step-by-step approach to creating a holiday party makeup look that works in real life, photographs beautifully, and lasts all night.

Step 1: Skin That Looks Lit From Within – You have to glow.

Great party makeup starts with the complexion. Focus on skin that looks healthy, fresh, and luminous, this works with both sheer and full coverage.

I prep the skin thoroughly, then apply a light-reflecting base in thin layers. Keep coverage where you need it for a natural finish or build a flawless base in lighter layers.

Brushes I use:

  • 107 - MY FLAWLESS FOUNDATION – For seamless foundation application, its dense fibres build foundation evenly and helps to smooth out texture.
  • 127 - MY FLUFFY CONCEALER – For precise concealing and brightening under the eyes. Not too big so it feels easy to us

Step 2: Sculpt Softly, Glow Strategically

Holiday makeup should glow, not shine. I sculpt lightly to enhance bone structure, then add glow to the high points of the face with a mix of both cream and powder highlighter.

Blend thoroughly for a modern finish, you can go deeper for a night out as long as you’re well blended.

Brushes I use:

  • 171 - MY CLASSIC CONTOUR – for soft sculpting, an easy choice if you’re not confident as the shape of the brush naturally guides you.
  • 162 - MY POLISHED COMPLEXION – for controlled glow placement, soft enough to lightly polish the face with it’s feather soft tip.

Step 3: A Classic Eye That Always Works

A softly defined eye never dates. I keep the lid clean, add depth through the crease, and define the lash line without overpowering the look. Add a shimmer to the eyelid for larger eyes or corner of the eyes if you have more of a hooded eye shape.

This approach works with neutral shades or subtle shimmer.

Brushes I use:

Step 4: Lashes or Lips — Pick One to Go Bold

Balance is everything. Choose one statement.

  • Bold lip: Keep eyes soft and sculpted
  • Defined eye: Pair with a nude or glossy lip

Brushes I use:

Final Thoughts

Holiday makeup should feel effortless, confident, and personal. Focus on glow, structure, and one standout feature — that’s what makes a look feel elevated rather than overdone.
